Blog - The very first time I ever heard of this word I thought it’s a new slang term. I didn’t quite understand what it meant. Just like the first time I heard the word phat. How would I know that that word actually meant cool? Duh!
So, here I am now, writing the very first page of my blog. Hurrah!!! Alright, alright lemme tell you first what that mind-boggling word means (just in case you are as clueless as I was)… blog is a term used by cyberfreaks to pertain to their online journals or diaries. How they came up with that? I wouldn’t know.
I’ve finally decided to make my own one because a lot of people are doing it already and I just simply want to join the bandwagon. Aside from that, my good friend Christopher (the brilliant guy who designed my website), just wouldn’t stop pulling my sleeves asking me to start writing one. For heaven’s sake, here it is now. Sorry if I’m ten years late. Sheesh!
Hmmm… I wonder what to write about. I’m soooo excited with this that I could actually feel my brain palpitate inside my head. There’s a feeling of rush here. Are people actually interested to know what I think? I guess I wouldn’t care less. But in case you are, ten thousand benedictions to you. Aren’t you simply so lucky that you would actually get a glimpse of what runs inside my psyche? Read on.
First topic, me! Self-centered? Well, Aren’t we all? Anyway, I am your average guy in his mid twenties who couldn’t tell the difference between night or day because I’m usually awake on both times. I love to eat, sleep, surf the net, play tennis, play video games, and play around with other people’s lives. If there’s one thing that I hate, that would be working! I just simply couldn’t understand the fact that I would have to work for the rest of my life to sustain my lifestyle. Where’s the fun in that? Go figure.
But seriously now (see, I’m capable of being serious, too), I’m pretty much happy with the way things are going on with my life. I can safely say that everything is in order. I’m healthy and mentally stable (at least for now). And aside from that I have a very supportive family, loving partner, caring friends , and a job that make my ends meet.
Just to give you a brief background about my family, I am the second to the eldest of six. I am a middle child and I suppose you already know what they say about middle children. Bwahahaha! I guess I am a living proof of that cliché. I have three brothers and two lovely sisters. Now, my older brother, BJ (he prefers to be called Jay now for obvious reasons), is currently torn in shifting careers. He’s currently working in a printing/advetising firm and would want to transfer to… uhm… ah… he doesn’t know yet. Odd! In one way or another we’re both of the same specie. We simply don’t know what we want in life. Who does?
Next to me is Dax. He just turned 20 last May and is currently working for a bank. At an early age, he had several ups and downs already due to some vices that he found hard to control. Hopefully now, he’s a renewed person. We’re all crossing our fingers on that.
After him is Nico or is more popularly known to us as Ate. We call her Ate because she’s the oldest girl in the family. She’s still in high school and is making really good grades. I wonder how she manages to do that. When I was in high school, life was hell.
Then comes Denise. Her nickname is Mica but eventually we called her Kikay. Funny name, huh? Well because she’s a funny girl. She’s very bubbly and seems to have that certain zest in life that a lot of people would be jealous of. At the age of 14, she’s very independent. She hardly asks anybody for help and she usually gets out of really tight situations all by herself.
Finally, Virgil (Boogie). I guess being the youngest, he couldn’t help being the most charming of us all. He’s the type who would never fail to light up a room. He looks so innocent and very naïve. I wonder if I have that kind of look, too.
Sometimes I envy my younger siblings because life for them is very simple. They’ll just wake up at the break of dawn and get ready for school. At the end of the day, they’ll come home looking very satisfied with their day and retire early. Don’t you just wish sometimes that we’re kids again? On second thought, nah! Coz if I was a kid again I would never get to watch all the porn in the world. I don’t wanna miss that out!
