Beach Boy!
Written May 16, 2005
In just a few days I'll be on my way to Boracay. There is so much hype about it this summer and I thought of joining the bandwagon. So this is how it feels to be a Bora Boy. Sounds kinky. Really it does.
Im coming up with a list of things to bring for my trip. I'll be gracing the place with my presence and haunt it for 3 days/ 2 nights, the longest that I'll ever be away from home... NOT! I was just wondering how it would feel to say that.
Anyway, I have 4 days left to pack and as early as now I'm making sure that I have everything in order to avoid last minute panics. Here is a checklist of my beach gears slash essentials:
- rubber duckie (my fave playmate)... check!
- 3 swim clothes (should I just skinny dip? I'm a light traveler)... check!
- 5 packs of cigarettes (forget everything else but these)... check!
- 6 credit cards (in case I lose my mind and decide to buy the whole island)... check!
- Vampire Chronicles (I'd rather have a date with the Queen of the Damned than force myself to stare at almost-naked walking cellulites in their teenie weenie swimsuits)... check!
- mobile phone with 3 extra batteries (the movie Alive horrified me and I will need some means to get in touch with our civilization just in case)... check!
- shades (I dont know bout you but I use these primarily to look cool)... check!
- SPF50 sun block (I avoided direct exposure to sunlight the whole year and there is no way that I'm going to make this an exception)... check!
- anti-hangover pills (I'm sure my head will be spinning half the time due to booze consumption)... check!
- Identification card (so I could be identified in case I allow someone to bury me in the sand and that person leaves me on purpose)... check!
and one thing more... a paper and a pen. No, I'm not going to take notes of my trip. You'll never know who you'll gonna be rubbing elbows with. It's best to be ready for an autograph... check!
